7 Benefits of Investing

7 Benefits of Investing

If you’re on the fence about investing, for whatever reason (not sure how to do it, scared to do it, haven’t taken the time, think your future husband will do it), I want to share with you 7 benefits of investing.

1-Your money will start working for you.

I don’t know about you, but I’d rather not be trading straight time for dollars, I’d rather have as much of my money as possible working for me so I can relax a little. Maybe do some traveling or spend time with family.

By investing in stock market, stats show you’ll get a significantly higher return than if you leave your money in savings.

In the graphs below, you can see the difference over 30 years of keeping $5,000 in a savings account earning 1% interest and adding $100 per month to it vs. investing that money in the stock market earning 8%.

You’d be earning an extra $156,000 more if you invested your money in the stock market! What would you do that extra money?? I could think of a few things I’d do….

Plus, if you are leaving your money in savings at 1% interest you’re not even keeping up with inflation. Inflation (prices rising over

time) is about 3% per year, so you’re actually losing 2% of your purchasing power (3% – 1% = 2%) each year you leave your money in savings.

2-Less worry, more peace of mind.

Even though some worry about investing in the stock market, there’s a simple way to do it to help mitigate the risk.

You don’t need to be worrying about when the stock market will crash or losing all of your money.

Knowing your money is working for you and that you’ll have money to get to financial freedom is a great weight you can take off your shoulders.

Like we talked about in benefit #1, you can stop worrying about keeping up with inflation and easily make higher returns (get more money from your money).

3-Break the glass ceiling.

Ready to increase your income? Let’s break the glass ceiling.

Maybe you’re holding yourself back in increasing your business or from getting a raise at work because you wouldn’t know what to do with the extra money. It can be nerve wracking to make large amounts of money if we don’t know what to do with it to help make us more money.

Shatter those limiting money beliefs by knowing what to do with that money.

4-Increase your confidence.

Being nervous or timid about investing isn’t doing anyone any good. Start learning how to invest and get the confidence you need to actually do it.

Once you start investing, it becomes easier and easier and your confidence grows along the way.

Having more confidence will spread throughout other aspects of your life. It’s a subconscious thing, one good habit will lead to another. Having confidence in investing can help you to have confidence in other areas of your life.

5-Reach your money goals.

Have a goal to go on a dream vacation? Or buy your dream home?

If you know how to invest your money, you’ll be able to achieve your money goals and perhaps even sooner than you thought.

6-Become more attractive.

I know, it seems weird. ‘Become more attractive.’ Really Tiff? It’s true though.

Being confident with your money and your investments is impressive to guys, thereby making you more attractive. (Trust me, good guys want you to know how to handle your money, it’s been spoken from their mouths, not mine.)

You’ll be able to have healthier conversations about money, which is very attractive.

7-Achieve financial freedom.

Financial freedom (having enough passive income to cover your expenses) is what it’s all about, right?! If you are investing your money you’ll be able to achieve financial freedom.

If you just have all your money in your savings account, like we talked about earlier, you’re not even keeping up with inflation, which means it will be VERY difficult to get to financial freedom. You’d have to put A LOT of money in your savings account.

Investing in the stock market; however, can help you earn around an 8% return on your money so you can get to the financially free life.

Let’s do a quick review. By investing, we can have greater returns and have our money start working for us instead of us working for all the money.
We can worry less and have more peace of mind about our financial future.
Get rid of limiting money beliefs and break the glass ceiling. We’ll become more attractive to guys, increase our confidence and eventually be able to have financial freedom.
